The following article covers the process for signing up and creating new company and new user accounts on Gasology.
Getting started with Gasology is easy. The process for joining Gasology begins with a user signing up via the website or an invitation from an existing Gasology member. Users will then register a company or join a company that has already been created.
For instructions on how to get started, this guide will walk through the steps for:
- New users who want to sign up to get access to the platform.
- Users who need to register a new company on the platform.
- Users who need to join a company that has already been registered on the platform.
Request to sign-up
New users can sign up to join the Gasology platform after receiving an email invitation from their company administrator or an existing Gasology member, or by navigating to the Gasology website and clicking on the Sign Up link.
Next, select the type of organization that you will be registering or joining. Merchant types include refinery (where crude is refined into fuel), distributor (midstream merchants), and station (retail outlets). Fleets represent business consumers that purchase fuel in bulk. Select the type best describing your organization’s operations.
Basic user information needed for an access request includes:
- Individual’s name and contact information
- Company name
- Company’s activity in terms of gallons purchased or sold annually
- The number of locations where the business takes delivery of fuel; or the number of facilities from which a merchant sells fuel
Once submitted, you will receive an email invitation to join Gasology and create a new user account.
Create a user account
Accept the invitation, complete your account set up by entering your details, and finally, accept the end user terms and conditions.
Congratulations, you have now created your new user account!
Join an existing Gasology company
If you are signing up with a company that is already registered on Gasology, follow the steps above. Your administrator will then need to approve your registration. Once they do so, you will receive an email to activate your account.
After receiving your confirmation email, click Login to activate your account.
You may also join an existing Gasology company after receiving an invitation from your company administrator.
Register a new Gasology company
After setting up your user account, you will receive an email to activate your account. Click the Activate Account button in the email to log in and begin registering your company on the platform. Proceed to the company sign up section and begin entering your company details.
Note: The administrator (or admin) of the company account has administrative privileges and company approval to set up their organization on the platform.
If you are not a company administrator, Gasology will request the email address of a company administrator who will then be invited to create both a user account and the company account for your organization. Select "Forwarding to someone else," and enter the associated email address.
Company sign up
Company registration begins after you have created an individual user account.
If you are a company administrator, you can set up your company’s Gasology account. Follow the prompts after clicking the Activate Account button in the email you received from Gasology. Required company information includes:
- Company type
- Business Consumer - Any entity who strictly purchases motor fuel
- Merchant - Any entity who sells motor fuel to customers
- Contact email and phone number
- Employer identification number (EIN)
- Data universal number system identifier (DUNS)
- Company address
After entering your company information, you will arrive at the Merchant or Business Consumer Terms and Conditions, which govern transactions on the platform.
If you need more time to review the Terms and Conditions, you can skip this step for now. You will not be able to buy or sell or send connection requests, but you can continue to customize your account and explore the platform.
Users can accept the Gasology terms and conditions via the link provided or later by navigating to the Administrative tab within the Settings manager after their company account has been created.

Once your company information has been registered, and you have accepted the Business or Merchant terms and Conditions, your request to join will be reviewed by Gasology platform administrators. Menu items on the left of the user homepage will be briefly unavailable until your company account is approved.
During this period, you may log in to the platform and browse the linked articles on your user home page.
When your account has been approved, you will receive an email notification. Log in to the platform and click the Add Profile button on your homepage. Select your profile type and proceed with setting up your vessels (for business consumers) or facilities (for fuel merchants), then connecting with your network and creating or searching for fuel prices.
