Gasology’s Price Sync tool lets you share prices with your customers by sending a .csv file via SFTP or email. Both SFTP and email require prior account authorization and setup with your Gasology Customer Success Manager (CSM).
SFTP and Email setup are discussed in the following sections.
SFTP Setup
The Gasology SFTP service has specific requirements that must be met to allow SFTP access. Those requirements are:
- Customers must request SFTP access from their CSM.
- Customers will then send their final .CSV file to their CSM for review and format mapping.
- Customers are also required to provide their CSM with the IP address of the sending SFTP client; this is required for security (IP Whitelisting). SFTP cannot be enabled without a supplied IP address.
After completing the steps above, Gasology will provide you with a unique login/password for access and share Gasology's SFTP endpoint.
Your Gasology CSM will then confirm format and mapping with you before you launch SFTP pricing. Finally, your Gasology CSM will check and verify your configuration.
Email Setup
Price Sync’s Email feature has specific requirements that must be met to allow access. You will be required to:
- Request Email access from your Gasology Customer Success Manager (CSM).
- Submit your systems final .CSV pricing file to your CSM for review and format mapping.
- Provide your CSM with the email address of the sending customer client so that we may whitelist it; this is required for security. Email service cannot be enabled without an email address.
Your Gasology CSM will then confirm format and mapping before launching the service.
Finally, your Gasology CSM will check and verify Price Sync is operating as expected.
CSV file format
SFTP requires a .CSV file format. Gasology has some ability to map customer fields to Gasology platform fields to reduce customer modifications in their current output file. Below is a sample format for how your .CSV file should be set up.
Note: Each customer who is being quoted must have a unique file and filename containing only their pricing.
