How can I make sure I see all available prices?

Fuel merchant programs connect you to your suppliers' prices.

As a fuel buyer on Gasology, there are two ways that you can access prices from merchants. Merchants use programs to publish their prices for buyers to see and reserve. A program can be open - visible and available to any buyer on Gasology - or it can be closed, visible to merchant-invited customers only.

You won't know if you are buying fuel from an open program or a closed program, and it doesn't make a difference when you are making a reservation or accepting delivery. However, it's important to know that merchants may need to take an extra step if you have a custom agreement with them. Any special terms that are unique to you, as a customer, are offered through closed programs.

Participate in an open program

You don't need to do anything to see fuel prices that are published through open programs. Open programs are accessible to all customers on the Gasology platform and do not require a merchant invitation to participate.

Participate in a closed program

Closed programs allow merchants to customize specific contract terms for their customers.

Customers can access closed programs only when the supplier assigns a customer to the closed program of their choosing. Customers must be connected to the supplier to participate in any of the supplier's closed programs.

If you want to make sure you are seeing all of your suppliers' prices, first, make sure you are connected to them on Gasology. Check out your Active Connections in the Connectivity manager, and send them an invitation if you are not already connected. If your supplier is offering you special terms, they may need to create a closed program and add you to it. You won't be notified when you are added to a merchant program.

Other factors that affect which prices you see

Gasology matches your vessels with merchant facilities to make sure that you can only see and reserve fuel that fits your needs. Make sure your vessel settings are correct, with the right product type and delivery preferences selected.

If you know your suppliers are on Gasology but aren't seeing prices at one of your vessels, talk to them and make sure their facility settings are correct. They may need to expand their delivery radius or make sure the search type and sales-type matches your vessel.

If you still aren't seeing prices for one of your vessels, invite your suppliers to join and connect. The Gasology network is always growing.
